A pontiff stands in the foreground. He wears a tiara and raises his right hand in admonition to a warrior who is respectfully addressing him. The background depicts an architectural setting and warriors. Above, angels hold up a painting of the Virgin and Child.

This drawing of a certain quality is superior to the majority of Felipe de Castro’s drawings published to date, yet certain conventions that appear in it serve to attribute it to him.
