Apostles (?)
First third of the XVII century. Not on display
This drawing depicts two apostles: one is in profile to the left with his hands together and his head somewhat raised; the other appears with his back turned.
Judging by the attitude and character of the figures, this work must have been a preparatory drawing for a canvas of the Assumption of the Virgin or the Ascension of the Lord, or it may have also been for a Holy Supper. Despite its modern attribution to Cano, its style is very characteristic of Cajés.
