This work represents a scene in which the Virgin and Saint Joseph hold the Child by hand. The three are facing forward, slightly to the left.

The attribution to Claudio, who must be Coello, does not appear acceptable according to Pérez Sánchez. Proportions, technique and models are similar to those of Cajés, to whom it should be attributed, with certain reservations.
