The Virgin of the Rosary with Saint Dominic / Sketch for the Figure of the Virgin

The Virgin is depicted standing on the clouds and holding the Christ Child in her left hand. With her right hand, she hands the Holy Rosary to Saint Dominic de Guzmán. He is kneeling at her feet and supported by a young angel. Camarón Bonanat painted a canvas with this subject for the Church of Benicassim (Orellana, ed. 1967, p. 411) with an iconographic configuration similar to that of the Prado drawing, which cannot be considered strictly preparatory for the canvas.
